HA'iku Stream RestorationCommunity workday at Papahana Kuaola

 

9:00am-12:00pm

You and your 'ohana are invited to join us every 3rd Saturday from 9 a.m.-12 p.m to restore the upper reaches of Heʻeia stream with native plants that once adorned its banks! Restoration activities include: native plant propagation, planting, weeding, and mulching.

What to Bring:

  • Work clothes to get dirty
  • Tabis or shoes that can get wet
  • Water bottle
  • Sun Screen & Insect Reppellent
  • Towel 
  • Positive attitude!

Lā ʻOhana Waipao 

9:00am-12:00pm

 

Lā ʻOhana community workdays are open to anyone to come mālama ʻāina and enjoy the beauty of Waipao with their friends and family. Lā ʻOhana workdays usually focus on loʻi kalo managment, including prepping and weeding patches, planting and harvesting kalo, as well as repairing loʻi banks and walls. We have work projects suitable for all ages and experience levels!

What to Bring:
